Half the battle of not being defeated by painful experiences is learning how to respond to life’s challenges in a healthy way. Learning from other’s experiences and hearing their backstories in addition to their successful outcomes is a great way to start. Robert Sanders, certified Level 4 eutaptics® FasterEFT™ practitioner, found himself in a state of grief and depression after the passing of his first wife. He discovered the way to a better life through eutaptics® FasterEFT™. Here’s his story:
Robert Sanders resides in Falcon, Colorado, just outside Colorado Springs, with his wife Laurie Lamothe, who is a Level 4 Practitioner in training. Robert and Laurie met at one of Robert Gene Smith’s live training sessions in 2018 and were married in 2019. They live with Felix, their cat, and two Bouvier De Flanders dogs Jango and Jackie O.
Robert also raised two sons with his first wife. He had two successful careers: one in the military and one as a risk management consultant. He loved 60s and 70s muscle cars, drag racing, and building motors. He also loved to travel.
But, life wasn’t always ideal. Robert shared with the Skills to Change team that in addition to the loss of his first wife, he had also spent 5 years as her primary caregiver. After experiencing the grief and loss of his wife, he fell into a deep depression. Then that depression left him in a state, that he called “drifting with no direction and suffering the feeling of loss.” In addition to the depression and emotional pain of grief, he was also dealing with traumatic memories of his childhood. He was often moved from one family to another, which led to the emotional pain associated with feelings of abandonment and rejection.
After unsuccessful attempts with talk therapy, Robert was at a loss for what to do. In his search for relief, he discovered FasterEFT™. He said the changes were significant and almost immediate.
Robert’s sleep improved and he began to just feel better overall. He started getting out more and now chooses to enjoy himself and live life in a more purposeful way, as a result of FasterEFT™. He says he taps almost every day and feels great.
When asked, Robert said that the desire to become a practitioner happened over time. He watched FasterEFT™ techniques work for himself, and he wanted to share that with others in need. He appreciated that Robert Gene’s teaching was mechanical and logical, with well-explained concepts. He said that the training taught him “that we can change the emotions, feelings, and sensations from the root causes of our problems.”
Robert maintains his home-based practice, with what he calls a moderate workload in order to enjoy his retirement years. He even likes to spend time building greenhouses and growing organic produce that he shares with friends and neighbors. But his main passion these days is Self-Care. Robert belongs to several Veteran Support organizations and speaks with veterans about self-care techniques and how to tap. Robert offers sessions to practitioners in training, does some mentoring, and assists during live and hybrid eutaptics® FasterEFT™ seminars.
Robert loves seeing the change in his clients. He believes that all people can make positive changes if they are ready to make the change. He encourages eutaptics® FasterEFT™ newcomers to be patient with themselves and allow the changes in their minds to develop. He recommends homework, practicing rewrites, and tapping every day. He declares, “Change comes with action… This experience is just the beginning of a new and better life experience! It is painless, and anyone can do it.”
